For its New York edition, Snoopy in Style grew into an immersive world celebrating Peanuts’ enduring relationship with fashion, creativity, and self-expression. Across approximately 16,000 square feet in the Meatpacking District, MMD designed ten interconnected spaces that visitors can explore in their own way, each offering a distinct entry point into the world of Peanuts.

An introductory gallery sets the scene through key themes, archival material, and objects from Charles M. Schulz’s creative world. From there, 112 Snoopy dolls, film, and interactive moments unfold across distinct environments. The Joe Cool Listening Lounge invites visitors to settle in with a story and soundscape. In the Atrium café, chairs featuring Schulz’s characters turn familiar faces into furniture visitors can sit in and enjoy. Snoopy in Fashion explores how designers have reimagined Snoopy through their own creative lenses, bringing the character into the world of high fashion while preserving the wit and individuality that make him unmistakably Snoopy.

The exhibition’s visual identity is part of the space itself. Giant circular bullseye lanterns, sweeping overhead lights in the tennis section, and bold fields of color give the show its energy and make each area immediately recognizable. Color and graphics connect the façade, the exhibition, and its presence on social media. In the Instagram cabins, visitors step into the same flat, saturated compositions seen in the show’s graphics. The resulting images carry the exhibition’s visual identity into visitors’ social feeds, instantly recognizable through color alone.

Angled walls and shifting sightlines reveal the spaces gradually, while changes in flooring material help define each area and guide visitors through the exhibition. MMD designed the Field furniture and fixtures throughout, extending the experience into chairs, stools, tables, shelving, and display pieces. Together with the café and a retail space offering more than 300 products, these elements make the New York edition a place to linger, return to, and take a little of Snoopy home.
